What is GDB? How to build and deploy GDB?
GDB stands for Graded Discussion Board. The instructor gives a topic for discussion. GDB has a weightage of 5% of your total subject marks. Discussion should be based on logical facts.Instructions for preparation:Use your own words. Please read the instructions carefully before submitting your comments. Don't depend only on handouts to acquire relevant knowledge but also watch video lectures of the course, read handouts and use other reference books.You can post a VU Online GDB answer via VULMS.
Important Instructions Before Submitting GDB1. GDB will be open for 120 hours mentioned on LMS.2. GDB will open and close on the above date and time. Please note that there will be no grace days and no additional time for posting comments on GDB.3. You should post your answer on the Graded Discussion Board (GDB), not the Moderated Discussion Board (MDB). Both will run parallel to each other during the time period mentioned above. Therefore, proper maintenance will be required.4. After the due date you cannot participate in the discussion.
5. To plan your semester activities systematically, you are advised to view the upcoming assignments, quizzes, and GDB schedule in the overview tab of the course website on the VU-LMS.6. Questions/Queries related to GDB content, which may be posted by students on MDB or through email, will not be answered until the due date of GDB is over.7. Your comments should be relevant to the topic i.e. clear and concise (maximum 5-7 lines of response).8. Books, websites and other reading materials can be consulted before posting your comments. (Do not copy content as is.)9. No extra time will be allowed for debate.10. You may not participate in discussions after the deadline or by email.
